This Privacy Policy explains how Beauty Shelf handles information when you use the application.
1. Information stored by Beauty Shelf
Beauty Shelf stores the information you enter into the app, including products, categories, routines, routine history, product usage records, expiration information, ratings, notes, and related preferences.
This information is primarily stored locally on your device.
2. iCloud synchronization
If iCloud is available, Beauty Shelf may synchronize your app data using Apple's CloudKit service and your private iCloud account.
Cloud synchronization is provided by Apple and is subject to Apple's privacy policies and iCloud terms.
Beauty Shelf does not use its own external account system for storing your personal skincare data.
3. Barcode scanning
Beauty Shelf can use the device camera to scan product barcodes.
Camera images are used only for barcode detection and are not stored by Beauty Shelf.
When a barcode is scanned, the barcode number may be sent to community product databases within the Open Facts ecosystem in order to look for available product information such as product name, brand, or category.
Product availability is not guaranteed because these databases are community-maintained.
4. Purchases
Beauty Shelf uses Apple's App Store and RevenueCat to manage the free trial, permanent unlock, purchase status, and restoration of purchases.
Beauty Shelf does not receive or store your credit card details or other payment credentials.
Purchase transactions are handled by Apple. RevenueCat may process purchase and entitlement information needed to determine whether access to the app is active.
5. Analytics and advertising
Beauty Shelf does not include third-party advertising.
Beauty Shelf does not sell your personal information.
6. Photos
Beauty Shelf does not currently store or synchronize personal product photos.
7. Data retention
Data stored locally remains on your device until you delete it or remove the application.
Data synchronized through iCloud may remain associated with your private iCloud account according to Apple's CloudKit and iCloud behavior.
8. Children's privacy
Beauty Shelf is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to this Privacy Policy
This policy may be updated when Beauty Shelf introduces new features or changes how data is handled.
